This is not an unusual site for us to see on our walk home from school—women in the river washing clothes—but every time I see it, I am equally amazed at the way these women have to wash their clothes. I just cannot imagine. They have to carry the basket of clothes for however long to wash it in river water and then carry the wet clothing back to their house and hang it out to dry. That is just crazy.
After we took this picture, the women waved up at us with a smile. How beautiful is that?
